Conference is on track

THE Malaysian English Language Teaching Association (Melta) will go ahead with its international conference next month amid precautionary measures in view of the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) outbreak. Among other things, the association has advised scheduled speakers from Hong Kong and China not to attend the conference.

Writing is one main area that will be covered at the conference, scheduled to be held from May 18 to 20 at Sheraton Subang Hotel, Selangor.
