Beneath smile is lonely heart

THANK you “Sky” (I tried to kill myself three times, StarEducation, Apr 20) for sharing with us your experiences. Speaking as a teenager who occasionally has suicidal thoughts myself, I know how far a simple first person account like yours can go towards letting other suicidal people out there know that they are not alone and there is always hope. 

Sky has told us all what struggling students on whom high expectations have been placed feel and endure. In my opinion, I believe that parents, teachers and most of all the education and social system are probably the main contributing factors towards this serious problem.
