UiTM to hold cultural night

UNIVERSITI Teknologi Mara will be holding a cultural night, “Malam Citra Budaya UiTM Sempena Kemahkotaan DYMM Sultan Selangor”, at 8.30 pm on March 24 at the Dataran Shah Alam in Shah Alam, Selangor. 

Cultural performances will be presented by troupes from all 12 UiTM branch campuses, including the main campus. The event is part of the university’s celebration in commemoration of the coronation of Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.  

Seminar on business opportunities in China at INTI 

INTI Management Services Sdn Bhd will hold a one-day seminar on Business and Investment Opportunities in Post 16th National Congress of China on Friday March 28 at Legend Hotel in Kuala Lumpur.  

The speakers comprise industry experts, including the distinguished sociologist and political science scholar Prof Lin Tai, deputy director of the research office of the state council Dr Chen Yongjie and vice president of Tsinghua University Prof Hu Dongcheng.

Systematic College blood donation drive 

SYSTEMATIC College Petaling Jaya and Systematic College Penang will be hosting blood donation drives at their respective premises. 

Systematic PJ will hold the donation drive from April 14 to 16, between 10.30 am and 4.30 pm. (Please contact 03-7875 7118 for details). 

Systematic Penang will hold a one-day donation drive on April 15 from 9.30 am -12.30pm and 2pm - 4pm. (Please call 04-262 8127). 

Scholarship from Limkokwing 

SPM school leavers interested in pursuing business ICT degrees at the Millennium Institute of Technology have the chance to receive partial scholarships from Limkokwing Foundation. 

Millennium is an affiliate of Limkokwing University College of Creative Technology (LUCCT), which is known for its high standards in creative education.  

In its business ICT programme, the best of e-business is combined with the unconventional creative theories of communication and design. 

Other courses offered at the institute include marketing, multimedia and software technology, and e-commerce. 

The scholarship is open to students with a minimum of four credits in SPM. The closing date is March 31, 2003; call 03-7806 2880 for more details. 

UEL reunion in Kuala Lumpur 

THE inaugural annual dinner for the University of East London (UEL) Malaysian alumni will be held on April 3 in Kuala Lumpur.  

The reunion will be the highlight of the new Vice-Chancellor Prof Michael Thorne's tour of South East Asia. 

It hopes to bring together former students from UEL and its partner institutions to update them on recent developments. 

The event will be held at the Pan Pacific Hotel at 7pm. Tickets for the dinner are free and will be allocated on a first come, first-served basis. Guest tickets are also available on request.
