I REFER to Alicia Giok's letter Talk to teachers and study hard (Star Education, March 2). I totally agree with the writer that tuition is not the only way to success. Instead of tuition, one can study hard and talk to teachers to add to one’s knowledge.
I was a student at SMK Mentakab, in Pahang, and I obtained my SPM results recently. I was shocked that I got nine 1As and a 9G for Moral Education. I had prepared for the worst in order not to be disappointed and that helped me a bit. Now I'm appealing to have my Moral Education paper re-marked.
