To encourage the participation of rural teachers in the upcoming Seventh Melta biennial international conference in May, the Malaysian English Language Teaching Association (Melta) has decided to sponsor 10 teachers from rural schools for the conference.
Melta president Dr Malachi Edwin Vethamani said the association introduced the sponsorship scheme to make international conferences like this more accessible to rural teachers.
