Mid-course transfer at Nilai College

TO ensure quality is constantly maintained in Nilai College's Australian Degree Programme (AUDP), several La Trobe University lecturers visited its campus recently.

In town for a week, lecturers Glenn Hill, Belinda Choi, George Sansbury and John Pacher taught students accounting, management information systems, business ethics and international management respectively.

Nilai's AUDP students enjoy the same status as their counterparts in Melbourne, such as the issuance of a La Trobe University student identity card. This card enables the students to check their results online as well as access course information.

Students locally can choose to transfer to La Trobe University during their course of studies while those in Melbourne can also transfer to Nilai at any time.

One such case is Muhammad Faris who completed the first year of his management degree in Melbourne, but has opted to do his second year here.

''I am glad that I can do my second year subjects here at Nilai College and then go back to Melbourne for the final year to complete my course. This flexibility allows me to gain quality education and at the same time, enjoy my studies here in Malaysia and have time to be with my family and friends,'' he says.
