IN view of the continuous rain and thunderstorms recently, all building owners have been urged to carry out frequent inspections on their building structures to ensure the public’s safety.

Using the Penang freak storm last year as an example, city councillor Lai Kong Phooi said they should take heed of previous fatal events of building structures collapsing onto the public.
