MALACCA: Eighty-nine year old Maurice Sta Maria, a long-time resident of the Portuguese Settlement in Ujong Pasir, is proud that Christmas is observed and celebrated with more fervour here than in any other place in the country.
Maurice, a former personnel manager at a garment factory in Tanjong, said the mood at the settlement is spontaneous.
