DECEMBER is a good time for family reunions and good food will make the occasion even more memorable.
Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur Hotel’s executive sous chef Kamaruddin Adnin and his team have lined up several exciting menus this Christmas season.
For the Christmas Eve buffet dinner, guests can expect dishes such as Pan-seared Maguro with Tossed Baby Arugula, Candied Peaches and Crumbed Baked Ricotta Cheese, Stuffed Snow Crabmeat in Grilled Baby Capsicum and even exclusive dishes such as Confit of Vine Tomato finished with Black Caviar.
Christmas Eve buffet dinner is priced at RM138++ per person (food only) and RM178++ per person (inclusive of free flow of house wines and draught beer).
On Christmas day, there will be a buffet brunch with more than 120 classic and contemporary dishes such as Roasted Australian Prime Rib with Yorkshire Pudding, Fillet of Atlantic Cod with Braised Rhubarb and Sauteed Mushrooms, and Veal Scaloppini with White Crumbs and Char Grilled Brine Young Fennel, among other things.
The Christmas brunch is from noon to 3pm and is priced at RM158++per person (food only) and RM378++ per person for bottomless champagne, draught beer and house wine.
For New Year’s Eve, the buffet dinner will feature Shred Confit of Scallop tossed with Radicchio, Cannellini Beans, Semi-dried Tomatoes and Onion Relish, Smoked Black Pepper Duck Breast with Sweet Plum Sauce and Australian Garin Feed Baised Beef Cheek with prunes and green peas mash oven baked, among other things.
The dinner is priced at RM158++ per person (food only) and RM220++ per person (inclusive of free flow of house wine, champagne and draught beer).
The buffet brunch on New Year’s day, will have items such as fried calamari and shredded cabbage for appetiser, hot and sour soup, Mexican Ancho Chili Dry Rubs Salmon with Cilantro, and Citrus Mango Salsa and end with Royal Chocolate Banana Mousse Cake.
The New Year’s brunch is priced at RM168++ per person ( food only). For RM220++, the meal comes with free flow of house wine, champagne and draught beer.
Both the buffet brunch and dinner will be served at Essence, from noon until 3pm and 6.30pm until 10.30pm, respectively.
A more intimate dinner is also available on the eve of Christmas and New Year at its Tuscany style Italian restaurant, Villa Danieli.
There will be a three-course meal on Christmas Eve, including Wood-fired Oven Spiced Chicken Drummet Salad, Smoked Eel with Chilled Celeriac Mousse with Soft-boiled Quail Egg, Squid Ink Gnocchi in triple cheese sauce and thyme infused pumpkin mash.
The meal will end with a warm chocolate pudding with marinated fruits and chili lemon granita.
Meanwhile, for New Year’s Eve, there will be a four-course meal, which includes specially crafted Italian cuisine such as Seared Scallops with Tuscany Tomato-bread Salad, fine onion potato soup, oven roasted Australian Beef Strip Loin with Gnuddi and Mascarpone and spinach ravioli, ending with sweets like berries semifreddo with caramelised fruits, sable and mango sauce.
The set dinner is priced at RM150++ per person on Christmas eve and RM230++ per person on New Year’s Eve. Prices are for food only. Wine pairing will be served for an additional RM150++ per person.
Both the intimate dinners are inclusive of antipasto buffet, which includes a variety of salad, bruschetta and grilled vegetables.
There will also be a New Year’s brunch at Villa Daneilli from noon to 3pm at RM138++ per person (food only). The price is RM220++ for free flow of house wine, champagne, draught beer, juices and soft drinks.
