We hope to install 3,000 CCTV cameras by 2017, says MPPP

THE Penang Municipal Council (MPPP) is planning to install 298 closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras on the island before the end of next year.

Its Infrastructure and Transport Committee alternate chairman Muhammad Sabri Md Osman said there were 202 cameras on the island since 2008.
