Rod Stewart soundalike confesses he never idolised the British singer

SOME may consider Vernon Steele to be Malaysia’s Rod Stewart but the fact is, he has never idolised or even owned a record by him.

His idol is the smooth-voiced Cliff Richard — a far cry from that of Stewart, whose voice has been described as a result of gargling with rusty nails.
