ALOR GAJAH: A man drowned when he was swept by strong currents after he was believed to have fallen into a water catchment pond in Durian Tunggal here.
Melaka Fire and Rescue Department deputy enforcer Kamarulzaman Mohd Din said the victim Mohd Zaki Mohd Yasin, 30, was believed to be on his way back to his house in Kampung Bukit Balai here and tried to cross the pond at about 1.40 pm on Sunday.
