Rep: Use choppers


A PENANG assemblyman has urged the state government to be vigilant of illegal clearing of hills and uncontrolled development as places which previously did not experience floods are now facing them frequently.

Citing Air Putih in Balik Pulau as an example, Pulau Betong assemblyman Muhamad Farid Saad said the villagers there had lodge 17 police reports on damaged property due to flashfloods which occurred there recently.
