Demand for marine OSVs expected to remain stable

KUCHING: Sealink International Bhd, whose bottomline has been adversely affected by lower revenue from both vessel chartering and shipbuilding businesses, expects the demand for marine offshore support vessels (OSVs) supporting the enhanced oil recovery and deep water projects to remain stable at the present levels.

The Miri-based shipbuilder and charterer said two risk sharing fields (Bentara and Banang) and a deep water field (Gumusut-Kakap) had commenced oil production this year.
