Political parties unite to gazzette historical ashram in Brickfields

TWO politicians have joined the efforts to preserve the historical Vivekananda Ashram building the way it is and prevent the development of a residential high-rise on the land.

Lembah Pantai MP Nurul Izzah Anwar and Penang Deputy Chief Minister II Dr P. Ramasamy held a joint press conference in front of the iconic building’s locked gates yesterday to reveal their plan to get the building gazetted.
