THE police are taking the lead in hunting down those behind the agarwood thefts and illegal hill clearing activities which resulted in peat fires in Penang Hill early this year.
State Welfare, Caring Society and Environment Committee chairman Phee Boon Poh (DAP-Sungai Puyu) said the state government had conducted investigations into the matter and collected information on the incidents.
