Parts of Dataran Merdeka sealed off to allow grass to re-grow

Parts of Dataran Merdeka field have been cordoned off to prevent public usage and further damage to the grass.

ONLY selected parts of the Dataran Merdeka field will be sealed off from public usage, Kuala Lumpur mayor Datuk Seri Ahmad Phesal Talib said. 

Initial plans to close the field until December for refurbishment would go ahead but the mayor said Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) would not barricade the area.
