Kundang’s humble roots tied with tin-mining industry

ONE of the oldest organisations in Kundang New Village, is the 69-year-old Kundang Gaozhou Association, which was formed when Chinese emigrants from Gaozhou city in Guangdong province, made their way here, 18km west of Rawang.

The village, according to several long-time residents, started off as a tin-mining settlement, with evidence of its mining past evident with the nearby Tasik Biru Seri Kundang.
