Retirement scheme for 21 gold medallists

TWENTY-ONE gold medal winners at the recent Incheon Asian Games and Glasgow Commonwealth Games were recognised for their contributions with their inclusion in the Olympic Council of Malaysia-Carlsberg Athletes Retirement Scheme on Monday.

The scheme, which was introduced after the Kuala Lumpur Commonwealth Games in 1998 between Carlsberg Malaysia and OCM, has seen a total of 101 athletes benefit from the scheme’s accumulated RM3.67mil endowment insurance plan.
