The Selangor Health Department admits that volunteer groups and task forces set up to eradicate dengue has helped reduce the number of positive cases in the state.

Its Vector Borne Disease Control Unit head Dr B. Venugopalan said the groups managed to educate a large number of people on the dangers of the disease when they went to the ground.
