Call for regular talks with villagers

KUCHING: The state government should regularly engage rural communities affected by proposed mega projects in order to assuage their concerns, according to the Federation of Orang Ulu Associations Malaysia (Forum).

Its president, Gerawat Gala, said Forum supported Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem’s call for the Orang Ulu to respond positively to the government’s development agenda to transform the community’s areas in Baram, Belaga, Limbang and Lawas districts.
