Bandar Seri Botani residents are irked by tyre-burning activities

RESIDENTS in Bandar Seri Botani, plagued by the stench of burning tyres from factories producing industrial oil, want the Batu Gajah District Council to be taken to task for turning a blind eye to such operations.

Seri Bougainvillea Botani Ipoh Residents Association secretary Mohd Syahriman Mohd Yussoff, 34, said instead of ordering the Environment Department (DOE) to look into the residents’ complaints, the state government should instead order the council to take action against the factories.
