Thumbs up to backup team Young squad deliver the medals in prestigious fencing challenge

THE Malaysian backup (Pelapis) squad stole the show at the Penang Powiis Junior Fencing Championship 2014 by emerging tops with a medal haul of four gold, three silver and a bronze.

Coming in second was the Kuala Lumpur-based Jung Fencing School, who secured a gold, two silver and three bronze medals. The school is coached by Jung Choong Hoi, who was the first Malaysian National coach.
