OVERHEARD at a coffeeshop in Burmah Road recently: A man telling his son about a teenager who fell from the sixth floor of a block of flats in Penang because he was too engrossed with using his mobile phone while walking.
The teenager slid on some water in the corridor and flipped over a low wall. Fortunately, he survived — a zinc roof on the ground floor broke his fall. He suffered a broken right leg and a sprained neck in the incident earlier this month.
