Council: Our officers did not mistreat trader

THE Penang Municipal Council has denied that its enforcement officers were rude and abusive towards a trader when they confiscated his goods at Solok Sungai Pinang on Sept 12.

Council’s Licensing and Public Health Committee alternate chairman Ong Ah Teong said the officers conducted a routine operation in the area after receiving complaints from the public that illegal traders were obstructing the traffic flow.
