Monitor lizards will be culled on Pulau tioman after recent attack

KUANTAN: A culling exercise will be conducted in Kampung Tekek, Tioman Island to rid the village of water monitor lizards, Pahang Wildlife and National Parks Department (Perhilitan) director Khairiah Mohd Shariff said.

Khairiah said however, it would not be a full-scale exercise but merely to reduce its population by between 10% and 15% in the island.
