Bright outlook on OSVs despite oversupply reports

KUCHING: Shipbuilder TAS Offshore Bhd has maintained its optimistic outlook on the sustained demand for offshore support vessels (OSVs) for the oil and gas industry despite recent reports of an oversupply situation.

The company said fears of oversupply of OSVs had been dismissed in a report in the June issue of Seatrade Asia Week which stated that falling OSV-to-rig ratio and aging vessels were preventing an oversupplied market.
