Rela members can be hired as private security guards

SECURITY companies can now hire Rela members as private security guards but they must not be in Rela uniforms during their duties.

Rela director-general, Datuk Mustafa Ibrahim said however, under the Private Agencies Secular 2010 (Pekeliling Agensi Persendirian Bilangan 2 Tahun 2010), Rela members who work as security guards must wear the uniform of the company they work for.
