Warning on poor wiring at longhouses

KUCHING: Poor wiring is one of the main causes of fires at longhouses, according to Sarawak Energy Bhd (SEB) safety and health officer Patrick Sibat.

Patrick, speaking on a radio programme about fire prevention, said poor wiring – sometimes due to illegal wiring – and faulty electrical appliances were common causes of fires in rural areas.
