KUCHING: Until July this year, 235 Sarawakians had perished in road accidents, but poor infrastructure was likely not the main cause.

This is because statistics show the road accident fatality rate in Sarawak is actually lower than the national rate. It indicates the current standards of Sarawak’s road should not be blamed as the main culprit of accidents. More often than not, bad road usage is the primary cause.
