AN endangered plant species native to the forests of Perak has been planted on the island of Penang for the first time.
Lions Club of Tanjung Penang president Teoh Tai Lim said the cleistanthus maingayi was sourced from Tanjung Malim upon the recommendation of the Penang Municipal Council (MPPP).
