Honoured guests include former UM Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences dean and current Nilai University chancellor Professor Emeritus Tengku Datuk Shamsul Bahrin as well as former UM lecturers Professor Dr Lee Boon Thong, Datin Zaharah Mahmud and UM Alumni Association (PAUM) president Datuk Noordin Abdul Razak.

Former faculty mates, some of whom flew from Sarawak, Singapore and even Australia, greeted one another warmly and searched the crowd for familiar faces.
