PARTI Sosialis Malaysia (PSM), and I have been involved in the maintenance issue of the First Garden Flats (FGF) in Ipoh since 2002, and I wish to share with you my perspectives on the issue.

1- Privately owned low-cost (and medium-cost) flats throughout the country are in a mess generally. Clogged drains, uncut grass, unlit stairwells are common, and social problems such as drug addiction and gang activity abound.
