Council officers soldier on despite assault incident

DESPITE the recent assault, Penang Municipal Council enforcement officers remain undeterred when discharging their duties.

The council’s public health and licensing alternate chairman Ong Ah Teong said the enforcement team had carried out inspection at the Hill Trace market in Jalan Mount Erskine, Penang, last Monday where they removed a stall belonging to an illegal hawker selling rambutan.
