GURNEY Paragon Mall in Penang has earned a spot in the Malaysia Book of Records for being the first shopping mall in the country with an integrated heritage building.

The three-storey 97-year-old building used to be part of the St Joseph Novitiate (St Jo’s) which was developed into a lifestyle mall by Hunza Properties Bhd. A photo wall of St Jo’s history was also unveiled at Level 1 of the heritage building recently.
