KUCHING: Sakura Ferroalloys Sdn Bhd’s proposed US$328mil manganese smelting plant in Samalaju Industrial Park, Bintulu has progressed into the erection of the first structural steel and furnace shell.
On-site construction works of the proposed plant on 100ha commenced about five months ago and the first concrete pour on the furnace foundation was carried out in April.
