125 people arrested in ops for drug offences


KUANTAN: A 14-hour operation by the police at the drug-user prone areas of Tanjung Lumpur and the Fisheries Development Authority (LKIM) complex jetty here saw 125 people arrested for various drug offences.

Pahang deputy police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Jamaluddin Abd Majid said more than 100 police personnel and officers from the Narcotics department and CID launched a joint operation with the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency, General Operations Force and other departments last Thursday.
