SIBU: The Sarawak Central Region Hotel’s Association regrets that the local authority has yet to take stern action on the mushrooming rooms-for-rent type of lodging houses in the town.
Speaking at a dinner held in conjunction with the association’s first annual general meeting on Saturday night, chairman Johnny Wong said last year he appealed to Sibu Municipal Council (SMC) on the matter, but there appeared to be no development on that front.
