THE temple committee members of Sri Maha Karu Mariamman temple in Persiaran Bangi, Kajang were shocked to receive a letter recommending the gazetted temple be relocated recently and they are seeking a solution to the problem.
Issued by Bangi assemblyman Shafei Ngah, the letter to the Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim recommends the relocation of the 125-year-old temple for several reasons, such as the location, size of the land as well as sensitivity to the Muslim community around the area.
