PETALING JAYA: Improper planning of the Serian regional water supply project in Sarawak has led to the pollution of the Batang Sadong located near the Slabi water treatment plant, according to the second series of the 2013 Auditor General’s Report.
A sludge basin for the plant was not built as the design of the plant was done in 2002 in accordance to the Public Works Department’s (PWD) Water Supply Guidelines.
