THE eighth and final qualifying round of the MercedesTrophy 2014, staged at Horizon Hills Golf & Country Club in Johor Baru, was a fitting climax to one of the nation’s most popular amateur golf tournaments.
The great intensity in the battle for places at the Malaysian final, scheduled for tomorrow, was expected as the qualification for the Asian Final at Sanctuary Cove on the Gold Coast of Queensland, Australia from Aug 12 to 15 is the next big reward for the players.
