Graduates appointed to head new village committees


THE Federal Government has appointed 45 graduates, including five Master of Business degree holders, to head new village development and security committees (JKKK) set up in Penang.

Rural and Regional Development Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Haji Apdal said of the total 488 village heads in the state, 19 were women — the most in the country.
