SEVERAL Malaysian celebrities came together recently to honour all mums, in conjunction with Mothers Day.

Hotel Royal Kuala Lumpur and Rafflesia The Pearl Centre hosted the special celebration attended by 22 local and regional celebrities together with their mothers.

“I have my mother to thank for everything, including supporting my decision to be involved in the entertainment business,” said actor Afiq Muiz, 22.

His mother, Hasliza Mohd, said she was proud of her son’s achievements and liked the idea of celebrities turning the spotlight on their mothers.

“My wish is for everyone, regardless of social status, to always love and respect their parents,” she said.

The celebrities who attended included Datuk Jimmy Choo, Norman Hakim, Fizz Fairus, Hairul Azreen, Fizo Omar, Ika Nabella, Tasha Shilla, Siti Saleha, Vanida Imran, Ana Dahlia, Natasha Hudson, and Fauziah Latiff.

The event was organised in association with Sony Indonesia, Universal Music Malaysia and Rumpun Records.

The celebrities and their mothers were treated to live musical performances by Indonesian songstress Astrid, Fauziah Latiff, Harris Alif and guitarist Stan The Man.
