THE flash flood at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in Gombak last week was caused by the clearing of 12.14ha of agricultural land for a residential development.
The three-hour downpour saw many parts of the campus in waist-deep water. Dozens of vehicles were also submerged.
