NGO and Ulu Baram folk voice out protest against proposed RM4bil hydrodam project

MIRI: Certain Ulu Baram folk together with non-governmental organisation (NGO) Save Sarawak Rivers have insisted that the locals never unanimously agreed to allow the construction of the proposed RM4bil Baram dam.

At a press conference here yesterday, Save Sarawak Rivers chairman Peter Kallang and about 100 villagers from the rural district signed a banner declaring their objection to the project.
