Crime rate 290 cases fewer than last year’s

PENANG’S crime rate for the first five months of the year dropped by 8.1% or 290 cases compared with the same corresponding period last year, said state police chief Senior Deputy Comm Datuk Wira Abdul Rahim Hanafi.

“There’s still room for improvement, especially on street crime. But we need to work hard, especially on eliminating fear of crime among the public.
