Cops cripple diesel smuggling syndicate


KUCHING: After nearly two months of surveillance, police have crippled a diesel smuggling syndicate by seizing 5,800 litres of diesel and related items in a raid on a warehouse at the Jalan Batu Kitang light industrial zone.

General Operations Force (GOF) Sarawak Brigade deputy commander ACP Zahari Ahmad said the total value of the seized items was RM104,500, including the market price of the diesel, 46 large barrels, a Toyota Hilux vehicle, three hoses and a pump.
