THE Drainage and Irrigation Department (DID) should carry out maintenance work on Sungai Penaga in USJ 1, at least twice a year, said Subang Jaya assemblyman Hannah Yeoh.
She said the current once-a-year maintenance routine was insufficient as shrubs grew densely by the riverside, which could cause floods during heavy rain.
