State's strategy succeeds in reducing squatter colonies


The implementation of the state government action plan has helped to reduce the number squatters in Sarawak by 23% since 2010, said Housing Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg.

He said a survey conducted by the State Land and Survey Department showed that there were 7,520 heads of squatter households occupying government land as of March this year, from 9,760 in 2010.
