KUCHING: In a landmark occasion, the State Legislative Assembly has unanimously voted in favour of a resolution to request the Federal Government for a raise in the oil royalty from 5% to 20%.
A motion urging the state government to formally demand the Federal Government for the increase was originally tabled by Chong Chieng Jen (DAP-Kota Sentosa) in the House yesterday.
